Meet Our Team
Dr. Swearingen grew up in Northern California and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He completed a general practice residency program at Balboa Hospital in San Diego in 1976 and spent the next four years serving as a dentist in the Navy at Atsugi, Japan.
Dr. Swearingen opened his practice in Citrus Heights in 1981. He established a flourishing dental practice with a reputation for providing dental care of the highest quality. During his many successful years as a general dentist, he developed an interest in cosmetic dentistry. He completed courses at the Las Vegas Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry and well as several other highly acclaimed training courses related to cosmetic dentistry in order to stay informed of the new developments in the cosmetic dental field. As a result, he has established himself as one of the select group of dentists in Northern California able to provide state-of-the-art cosmetic dental procedures.
Dr. Swearingen is a member of the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry as well as the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, California Dental Association and the Sacramento District Dental Society.
Dr. Swearingen is extremely proud of his team and feels that they are his greatest asset. Cheri, Lauren and Julie, Dr. Swearingen's clinical team, are all as excited about what they are doing as Dr. Swearingen. They are all licensed professionals with high standards of quality and integrity.
Patricia and Lori are licensed dental hygienists who provide exceptional care for their patients. They pride themselves in providing the highest quality of hygiene care as well as communication and education to their patients.
Judy, our practice administrator, has managed Dr. Swearingen's office for over 20 years with great skill and expertise. Her loyalty and commitment to excellence are major reasons for its success. Her genuine compassion and concern are greatly appreciated by all. Jhan has been in the dental profession for over 15 years. Our patients and staff appreciate both her competence and her bubbling enthusiasm. Jhan's enjoyment of life is contagious to all who have the pleasure to come in contact with her.
